Privacy
A small, first-party analytics footprint.
This portfolio uses a custom analytics system to understand whether the site is useful and how people find it. The data is stored in a private Postgres database and is not sent to an advertising analytics provider.
What is recorded
Page views, anonymous sessions, broad country/region, device type, browser and operating-system family, referral hostname, campaign tags, section views, useful link clicks and approximate engaged time.
Anonymous identifiers
The browser creates a random anonymous visitor ID and stores it in local storage so repeat visits can be counted. A separate random session ID is kept in session storage for the current browsing session. These values do not contain your name, email address, IP address or account information.
What is not stored
Raw IP addresses and raw browser user-agent strings are not stored. The analytics system does not fingerprint the browser and does not try to identify visitors by name. Full referring URLs are not retained; only the referring hostname is used.
Your browser preferences
The tracker does not run when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. It does not use advertising cookies or ad-targeting identifiers.
Purpose
The data is used to understand portfolio traffic, which work people explore, and which contact, résumé or credential actions are useful. It is not sold or used for advertising.
